Research Associate: Studied the impact of a project on ‘Minimally Invasive Education’ (MIE). Presented a paper on “Learning from Kiosks” at the F13 Conference at Dwarka, August, 1999.
I walked in to Sugata Mitra’s office at 3 pm on a hot summer afternoon in 1999, and asked if there was interesting going on that I could be a part of. At 4 pm, I was outside, near a hole in the wall kiosk, taking notes on what the kids were doing there. This paper described what and how the children were learning at the first two kiosks of their kind, set up by NIIT, at Kalkaji (New Delhi) and Shivpuri (Madhya Pradesh).
